pre-finish hardwood floor looking for options on error I made
Hi there,
I am looking for insights, options, opinions on how to fix my mistake if other alternative than pulling up the floor and start all over.
the corridor and the bedroom the hrdwood should flow in but when i measured and started in the back wall of the room to meet to the installed planks from the corridor. I had a huge gap in between. Ugh 😑
since its the bedroom, i am ok for a fix solution that may be noticeable but still looks clean.
I learn the hardway and it was my first time installing a hardwood floor by myself.
See picture or should I call it my desaster 🤦🏻♀️

That's an easy fix. Cut the hardwood back and install a threshold across the doorway.
I like alot that idea! Thank you soo much!! 😁
I agree with Sawdust_Steve. Use the middle of one of your floor boards, cut each edge off to make it flat on edges then run hallway and bedroom floors up to the fixed threshold board. Will be the exact height and color match as your floor.
Thank you for the details, I TEaLLY appreciated it! I am def going in this direction!! 😀
Are you standing in the corridor or the bedroom? Is that your foot? Is the bedroom toward the top of the picture? Not for anything but is that red roisin paper?
