I’m getting ready to repaint and I want to repair a few points of damage (chewed by our now grown puppy) so that they won’t be noticeable after we paint. I’ve attached two photos below of the damage. Can you recommend what product and technique would be best to fix these?

Boy you have quite a few layers of paint there don't ya?
I would drill some small holes in the wood and overfill with some bondo(yes, the car stuff), the holes are to help hold the bondo to the wood. Before it sets completely start to shape it some. When its completely set finish sand it in, prime and paint. Your done.

Hey Doug
The rest of the trim looks to have already been painted quite a few times, so after you paint again it will all blend in with the same look maybe just a quick sand, kilz or bin on the bare wood, so it dosent take 3 coats to cover the bare wood
I some spots really bother ya wood putty and sand smooth then prime, paint-Ive seen worse
Obviously an older home. Really not much damage by my way of thinking, just sand, prime and paint.
