Hello all. I just had my ceiling(heavy texture)skimcoated (2 coats of 40 min and the a finish of unknown…jc or topping?) To a thickness of approx 1/8″. Ive waited three days and want to prep for painting. What product should I use forprimer (water base) behr. Sw. Kilz Zinzner? I like using Behr for finish coat. Been researching and found dated info regarding different products. At this point cost of paint is not an issue thanks in advance

The simple answer is to use Primer.
Brand loyalty or availability might be a consideration. What I like or use, you might not find. Some will say the combo paints (primer/finish) is the way to go.
If there's no stain killing to do-most interior primers will do fine.
If it's been completely skimcoated it's actually less of a problem than just taped and mudded, since the surface is consistent, and the ability to "hide" the differences is not required. In a big box I'd likely grab a Zinsner product, but I usually go to the local Bennie Moore store and get what they recommend. Or use whatever was on hand.
tinted primer
If you do choose to use a seperate primer, have it tinted to match your paint.
Go to a real paint store, or drywall supply house, and ask for a 'drywall primer.' This is a primer that has a very high solids content, or is called 'heavy bodied.' You'll want this to seal the plaster and provide a uniform sheen to the surface.
Then paint the wall.
If you are just going Matte white, alot of paints have primer built in.
