I was wondering if anybody out there charges a percentage of the total project price for a management fee to cover the time and costs for a project manager.
I am a project manager for a builder in RI and we are involved in an extensive remodel and addition in which there have been numerous change orders and extensive unique product selections which require a lot of man hours on my part to research, locate manufacturers/sub contractors, schedule and coordinate subs.
We incorporate a percentage into our hourly rate for overhead, but it occurs to me that a project management fee would be reasonable.
If anybody has any ideas, suggestions, please let me know. Thanks
