Hi,
I just wanted to know what people here think about the practice of running a propane heater in a house. In many of the new houses i see around here, in Canada, after all of the drywall is put up, except the flooring, the building company runs giant propane heaters in the basements of the houses for several days straight to dry out the house, maybe because of damp construction materials. Is this practice advisable or simply a band-aid solution?

The only propane space heaters I know introduce moisture into the house as a result of combustion. Doesn't do a thing except warm it up.

It may be warmer, but it won't be dryer.
