Was checking my dishwasher to see how many amps it pulled while running and could only find a label that said 60hz. Can hertz be converted to amps or are they not that directly related. How do you interpret this?

No relation. Hz is jsut the frequency of the sine wave that the alternating current follows - there is a complete cycle 60 times every second. Europe and some other places have 50 HZ AC power.
HZ can determine the speed of electric motors (no-load rpm will be a mutiple of 50 or 60 HZ).
But - essentially, power (amps X volts) is relatively independant of frequency. Well, there's also reactive power, and power factor

Ok. I guess I should reseach further online. No mention of watts or amps in the manual.
Thanks for the help
Did the label show watts?

Do you have the actual brand and model number?.....normally there are pdf manuals online that will provide you with the power requirements.

Hertz is related to voltage -- the higher the voltage the more it hertz when your screwdriver slips.
