I got a phone problem. The phones in my house are radioactive! The wife went nuts as the answering machine/fax picks up a radio signal better than a cheap Radio Shack receiver. The other two phones were ok. So she gets me a nice Ericofone replica for Christmas. It’s now radioactive too! On the same jack the previous phone was ok on. Why are phones radio receivers? They are all hardwired, no remotes/cordless etc. Thanks!

Plug one of these chingas into your phone to rid the radiation from the lines. http://www.sncmfg.com/telecom/noise_protection/rid.html
Dang! Fast response and on the money! I am trying to decipher the points at which this can be added. It looks like per phone is the best. Thanks very much!
Herre's the big question - can the radio listeners hear your private phone conversations? Whjoa!

Last year we had a cross on circuits somewhere. Whoo Hoo! A buddy and I listened for a while and then joined the conversation! You can't believe what commotion this caused! Everyone had a good laugh. I had called AT+T to fix this, they charged me 75 bucks for a service call I specifically did NOT ask for, and would not refund the money. I asked them to replay the "this call is being recorded" tape to check their non-existant QA. "Sorry sir, that would be to hard to do" Well " What if I called you a M_*&&er F*&&*ing no good piece of sh(*&*t you worthless ......... I got a call immediately from their upper echelons with a tape, a TAPE mind you, of my abusive nature. I asked them to equally efficiently look up my original call. "Sorry sir, this is for internal use only, not billing questions......" My buddy lost his service for his business for 2 days. "What do I have to do to get you to fix my service, as my customers are cell phoning me to death thinking I have skipped town! Do I have to light a bomb under your chair or what?" Wrong statement. Four of Seattle's finest are at his door in 5 minutes about a " Bomb threat". AT+T is the lowest form of corporate BS I have ever dealt with. Loooooooooooooooosers!
Please tell me why I go to Radio Sh... I went and got an RF filter as noted and it did nada. I grounded all the spare wires in the box. No help. Any other ideas?
Call the FBI or NSA. and tell them their bugs are miss functioning and playing the am radio station.
The other is to call a talk radio station and complain about the phone co. lack of concern how it is costing you business usually companys even the phone co don't like people airing their short falls in public.

Har de har har. Well, we spent the day looking and figured out its the house wiring. Its not the phones. The morons I asked to home run the wiring daisy chained my CAT-5 shielded wire! Oh lord. So one (or more) of the boxes in the house must have a weak or broken ground. Or just a weak connection. We are going box by box tomorrow. Oh Joy. O Thrill.
Still could be the phone. Have you switched with other phones to check? Reason I ask is just yesterday I tried plugging in an old cordless I had around. Plugged into same line input as good running everyday cordless phone I use. The old one would do nothing but pick up the radio. Unplugged it and plugged back in regular phone and no problem....sitting in his nowhereland.
Yup, its in the system. No reception on any of the neighbors' home jacks where we tried the machine in question.
