Recommended Ceiling materials for covered outdoor porch

Hello: Not sure I placed this into the proper forum, however what is your recommendation for the ceiling in a crafstman style home for an outdoor covered porch/patio. I do not want to use vinyl. I would like to use a material that is weather resistant and needs no maintenance. One area faces North and the other South.
Thanks in advance.

To give you a good answer, people will probably need a little more info, e.g., why can't you use the same roofing as is on the house? What's the slope of the roof? Not sure what you meant by "vinyl roofing". Are you referring to the ceiling instead of the actual roof? ETc.
The classic is, of course, beadboard. Though plaster isn't at all uncommon.
Unless the roof leaks maintenance isn't generally an issue -- no sunlight hits the ceiling, and it at most only gets dampened occasionally. So a coat of paint or varnish will last a long time.

Hello: the front covered porch is approximately 6'x22' and the covered patio is approx. 10' x 20'. Both ceilings are flat
What about white oak?
Thanks
Lessee -- white oak beadboard, painted baby blue. Yeah, that should work. (Actually, it's probably not baby blue -- more of a greenish blue, IIRC. Though sometimes a sort of cream color.)
Seriously, whatever floats your boat. It's not a demanding service for any material, other than modest moisture resistance is desireable. And, given the solar heating of the "attic" area, some care with regard to warp resistance (eg, back-priming) is advised.
Best thing for the job and what I have used almost exclusively for ten years for this style job is Azek beadedd T&G.
but iut could be called vinyl.
Puffed PVC.
So maybe you don't want it.
I agree with Piffin as I have used Azek beaded T & G. but are you talking about sheet goods or individual pieces? I used sheet goods.
I am assuming Cloudbuster was thinking of soffit type looking vinyl but this Azek, once painted looks very much like wood.
Mine were always too big for sheetgoods. I use the strip t&g materials
I've seen V-groove cedar stained, but maybe this that doesn't suit craftsman style.
I've built a few homes where we used modern style stucco over 1/2 inch glass clad and it looked great.
Again, I don't think it would suit your home and its an expensive option.
