Q. Is there any use for recycled douglas fir (4″) tongue & groove flooring outside of driving the nails out and using it again for another floor? I happened on a couple of old houses out here on the prairie that are set to be demolished. I’ve permission to take what I like. The doug fir flooring has never been finished and has been covered with what appears to be the real linoleum. Additionally, it doesn’t appear to have any or very little residual adhesive. The flooring pops up pretty readily by cutting the nails off from below with a Sawzall. The boards are virtually knot free. I’ve only got a little time and energy into this, minus a couple of saw blades. I’m about done with one room and there are 5 more I can tackle. Is it worth it?

If you don't want to reuse it as flooring, you could always remill it into interior trim - casing, sills, wainscoting, chairrail, cabinet stiles, rails and face frames...about a gazillion other things.
Go for it. Later on you'll be glad you did. Try experimenting a bit with different approaches to prying the boards up; working from a different side of the board and trying different prying tools. Sometimes ya get lucky. Then take a second look at the subfloor boards if you have them, could be old growth and defect free.
You pompous egotistical redneck, it's not a ponytail. I'm just getting ready for a mean combover and it'll look a lot better than yours!
