Hello, this is my 1st attempt at getting help from this resource. I’ve recently completed (almost) a top to bottom remodeled my family’s neo-colonial ranch, 60’s kitchen. Most everything is new and we are now proud to have a new modestly modern, granite-stainless-whitewashed maple kitchen.
However, in an effort to help the budget, I thought it would be possible to find a Stainless Trim kit for our GE Profile Refrigerator which I believed to be around 5 or 6 years old.
As it turns out, there doesn’t seem to be a trim kit available for our model #: TBX25PASLRWW; serial #: RL558824. It is a freezer over refrigerator type without water or ice dispensers on the front of the panel.
Is there a resource out there for a do it yourself custom trim kit? I’m usually pretty handy as well as resourceful, but I keep coming up empty handed on this account. I can find SS insert panels and SS screws. What I guess I’m looking for is the extruded anodized aluminum side brackets and the new handles to go along with the new door front. These handles can also be extruded anodized aluminum pieces or cut to fit SS pieces with end caps.(?)
I know custom pans can be made to attach to the doors and custom handles could also be fabricated; but keep in mind 2 words previously used: modest & budget. I also firmly believe all of this can and should be accomplished with the highest esthetic and best craftsmanship to equal the surrounding quality already in place.
Any advice or resource regarding the above would be greatly appreciated. My family will thank you when they no longer have to trudge to the dark cold garage for food or drink requiring refrigeration.
