I am restoring a 70+ year old house in rural Alaska. It has 3″ wide fir flooring throughout and about 1,000 square feet of it is covered with 9″ linoleum tile. I have read the suggestions to use mineral spirits to remove the adhesive but I recently got a tip to use a citrus based solvent from someone who had some success with it. Has anyone out there tried this? Does it damage the wood? What is a prefferred product and is there a west coast source of supply?
