repair of crumbling moisture damage on concrete block below grade
I have rambler style home whose first owner refused to add gutters for 49 years! He didn’t like the look of them he told me at the closing. Despite this the house is great except the inevitable problem in the grade on the uphill side of the basement wall and the constant water damage to the concrete block wall foundation. I excavated along the wall because of a small intermittent leak in the basement and I’ve found that I only have half of a wall. The outer half fo 4 or 5 blocks have totally disintegrated. Is it possible to lay some formwork against the outside and pour the voids full to restore a waterproof strong wall?
