Hi all, this is my first time here. I have a question about cabinet door hardware. My Mom would like to replace the door pulls on her cherry wood cabinet doors. Unfortunately the distance between the screw holes is larger than all that I have seen. If I remember correctly they are 5 1/4 inches (????). I would have to ask once she gets back home in a week or so. Anyway, my question is where can she find non-traditional sized hardware?
Any help is greatly appreciated.
Alec

You probably just need to go through the catalogs.
Basic "wire" type pulls in 128 mm and 5" seems to be common and available in a number of different finishes.

Also some pulls have optional backplates that can cover up existing holes.
but this is the only one that that I see that is large enough.
But I did not go through everything that they offer.

These have 5ΒΌ" spacing. Just turned out that way - I wasn't trying for any specific size, just liked the style for this kitchen. I've got to believe there are lots more out there. (These are Amerock)

I don't know what it takes to find them - I don't remember seeing the hole spacing in the catalogs. I'd highly recommend http://www.wwhardware.com - they have an amazing selection and are very helpful on the phone. http://www.leevalley.com also has a great selection.

Go to http://www.leevalley.com and click on 'Hardware'. They have a lot of different types and sizes and really good prices. I bought pulls similar to the ones in the photo, but mine have a flat area at the outside of the curve. Home Depot has them for $29.97 ea and I paid about $3.95 ea. Same piece.

Wow, thanks to all who replied. That is all great info. I have not had a chance to look through all the links, but I will and I will pass the info on to my Mother.
Thanks again,
Alec
