As I read and watch the news about the latest events, my mind keeps coming back to the cops, firemen, steel workers, and medics at ground zero.
To say that these folks are a hearty bunch, and dedicated professionals is not nearly enough.
The mental and physical punishment these people are working against is incredible. The loss of friends and coworkers, The hazards of working in all the crud and debris, the mental strain of finding body parts and personal effects, the time they are giving up with their families and loved ones, to do a nasty job most folks couldn’t comprehend. All for the hope of finding one more survivor!
These outstanding people are a special breed of human being that should be held in the highest regard! I don’t know what they get paid, but it’s not enough! I don’t think we could ever thank them enough!
To the cops, firemen, construction workers and medics, I say
THANK YOU!
You are all extraordinary people, and probably the finest example of what it means to be an American! For the first time in my 40 years I can honestly say the whole country is on the same page and I feel damm proud!
YOU GUYS ARE THE BEST!
THANK YOU!

Resuce workers my prayers are with you dailey, god bless
*I'm only twenty eight years old, but I can't ever remember coming to tears while watching the news before. Tuesday was a tragedy in the truest sense of the word. I too feel such gratitude for relief efforts in New York and at the Pentagon as well. What a truly horrific chore those men and women have in front of them. On the positive side of things, I cannot remember ever remember feeling this patriotic or proud to live in America as I do now. Not even during my four years in the Marines. Semper Fi and God Bless America
