I have a 2″ riser that is under the eave and will be exiting through roof.
The roof is 5v metal. Sadly the riser will fall right in the center of the double ribs (ugh)
There is maybe a 3″-4″ possibility to relocate the riser to one side (maybe).
I am checking on local code to see if I can relocate the service a foot or two in order to have the riser/service cable remain under the eave and not have to go through the roof (We think its 12′ off the ground). But it may encroach on the neighbors yard.
Relocating to another side of the house is not a possibility at this point.
If all fails, and we have to have it through the roof, and cannot clear the rib(s)
what is the best option to get a boot on and keep water out?

Greetings S,

Perhaps it will catch someone's attention that can help you with advice.

What are you venting? Would a Studor vent work where it could be terminated in the wall or in the attic?

We normally make a pitch pocket (I made 2 today) and fill it full of pourable sealer (available at roofing supply stores).
