Any tips on fixing this problem? What I believe you would call a valley rafter has dropped off the ridge board in attic over garage in my single story rambler house
Plan is to Jack the beam back into place and add a proper tie. However, Jacking a sloped beam seems a bit tricky. Also there should not be much weigh but the beam is a double 2×10.

Make up a “wedge shaped block” and fasten it to the bottom of the rafter at the point you want to jack. Use screws. Make the block so you level out that jack point.
Be sure to place the jack where it has good bearing so you don’t jack down that area.
