i client of mine is interested in putting asphalt shingles on a roof addition that currently has rolled asphalt material sheathing. is there a minimum pitch recommended for asphalt shingles. the pitch of the roof is VERY slight, less than 3 to 12. i wasn’t sure if the builder used this material to save time/money or if there was another reason asphalt shingles were not installed as per the rest of the house.
