my roofer felted and shingled the roof on my new room addition during a light rain shower. i have heard conflicting opionions on whether this is a good idea.my roofer says no problem. what do you folks think ?

I wonder where that rain water went? Absorbed into the roof decking (maybe) which was then felted ("dried in" except it wasn't dry) So the water vapor can really go only one way (attic) which is generally very hot and does have vents. So if the glue used on the decking was designed for external use (can't imagine somebody using anything else--used to be be CDX) you should come out better than if nobody felted the roof and waited (forever) for the decking to dry out again (if ever).
