*sorry, just kidding. Try tennis shoes
*I'm a carpenter, not a roofer, but I'll tell you this: VANS are the best warm weather carpenter shoes, bar none. Wide, stable and lots of traction. Best roof shoes I've ever tried. They last a long time too.
*i recommend you go to a good sporting goods store that has a complete mountain/rock climbing section. Look for "approach" type shoes. They are made with the high friction rubber of rock shoes, but are design for lots of walking.i think there is company that makes "roofing" shoes called "cougers" or somthing like that. look in the back ads of the trade mags.
*Chuck Taylors!!!!LightweightGood tractionRubber toes that dont get worn thru Stylish especially if you wear two different colors!!Cheap 30$Only things that beat chucks on a roof are whatever the subs arer wearing while your inside doing something else, ANYTHING else except maybe insulation!!! Mr. T
*Jason I saw that ad on cougers. Looks interesting. Thought about rock climbing shoe while thinking about ropes.

*We always called 'em bobos. My friends called 'em bobos. My mom called them bobos.........
*For metal roofing I liked the gum rubber soles on LL Bean boots. It's soft enough to act like thousands of tiny suction cups.
