Hello Painters;
I have a client that wants a set of book cases with minimal grain showing through the paint. The 1x lumber available here is
,&
#160; I would rather use ply or particle board.
What is the best way to sand and seal plywood so the grain does not raise through the paint?
Thanks

Use primed MDO plywood. (medium density overlay) Paints up real nice.

Use a cabinet grade maple, birch, or poplar plywood for the casework and solid poplar wherever you need solid wood pieces. All of these take paint very well.
