I’m looking for some advice.
I’m currently in the process of buying an old timber frame warehouse. The subfloor consists of structural 2x decking over 2×12 joists, 12″ OC. I’d like to use some sort of flowable, cementitious material over the wood subfloors that would give me a durable wear surface. Ideally, it would also be good enough for a finished floor surface.
Does anyone have any experience? How thin can I pour the surface? What issues are there regarding thermal expansion, etc? Any idea (rough) of cost?
Thanks for any help,
Robert Asher
