I will be replacing some old and demlaminated T-1-11 siding on an enclosed porch with new sheathing and Cedar shingles. As I tend to work mostly on weekends I anticipate it will take me most of the summer to complete the job (which will include new windows, doors, shingles, etc.) My question is: If I plan on having the sheathing exposed to the weather for a while should I use a product like AdvanTek wall sheathing? Generally not a fan of OSB. Original plan called for ply but I am worried about several weeks in the rain. Thanks for all advice. FWIW; the house is located in Boston, MA.

Dont leave sheathing exposed. No matter what your sheathing with cover immediately with felt paper...not house wrap...felt paper.

Okay, I get the message about #30 felt and will try to be vigilant about it. Now, will there be an advantage to using Advantek sheathing as opposed to Plywood? I assume than even with Felt, the sheathing will still get wet. Is swelling a big problem with Plywood? Is advantek a good preventative measure, or not 'all that'? Thanks for the input.
