wanting to frame a exterior shed roof-14’x20′. I know I need a structural ridge, bc im not having ceiling joists. Rafters are 2×10 syp. Does 2×12 ledger bolted to wall meet ‘structural’ or should it be doubled?

When I added one, I cut notches in the 2x6 studs to hold the 12x2 ledger and bolted it in. The inspector wanted to see it this way since there was no rim.
There is no ridge on a shed roof. If your ledger is bolted to studs 16 or 24 inches oc the size doesn't much matter make it deep enough for the plumb cut on the rafters.
thank you! thats what i was looking for. I realize the "ridge" is basically a ledger....just wanted to make sure I wasnt missing something stupid like I often do. Here we have no plan review for decks and porches and other exterior structures. Inspectors can be a little less than friendly, and even less informative. Dont want to look like a total idiot.
