shower base on concrete

I want to build a 3 by 5 foot shower in the basement on the concrete floor. The drain is in place as are the walls(water resistant drywall. Can I merely slope the floor to the drain with cement and lay tile on floor and walls? Any suggestions, tips and pitfalls??
