shower pan construction hot mop or liner
Hello All,
I’m putting in a new shower enclosure with floor to ceiling tile. I’m not sure what would be the best for the shower pan lining either hot mop or rubber liner material. Anybody with more knowledge please advise your opinion. I will have a hot mopper install the tar but I would be putting the liner in. Thanks for this site.

Go old school and form it with lead.
...that's not a mistake, it's rustic
Skip both of those, check out Kerdi.
Right now, go to the thread "Kerdi Shower With Niche" right here in Breaktime, in the Photo Gallery section. Read the whole thing.
After reading it, come back here and tell us why you wouldn't want to use the Schluter system, and instead still want to use hot mop, etc.

Wow, I just read the Mongo Files on tiling a shower and all I can say is "holy ####" that was beautiful!

Since I've been in the plumbing trade since the beginning of time I have never seen a hot mop installation, the only thing that you need is the liner; my opinion only, luck.
