siding over asbestos shingles

I was just wondering if anybody had any experience installing cedar siding over Asbestos shingles. I am not sure if i have to furr out the wall or if i can just nail over top of the existing siding. Also would it be helpfull to install housewrap before i install the cedar siding? Thanks Andy
