The lino floor in my new home makes creaking and crackling sounds when walking on it. The new home warranty inspector said that these noises are due to the floor drying out, the house settling and everyday wear and tear.
I do not believe this as the lino floor has been making noise for almost two years now.
As for the house settling, I do not have any cracks in the walls just nail pops in the drywall. Is this a sign that the house is settling?
What would indicate that my house is settling?
Thanks
Ron
