Remember that crown I mentioned a bit ago? Well, me and the wife have been installing the past couple of nights. Thing is, tonight I was telling her about the sliding compound I wish I had and how it would make it so much easier…
In the middle of my rant about miters and bevels she started smiling at me funny. That’s when I realized how excited I was in explaining the different angles, the infinite number of adjustments for each cut, how when working you keep a little notebook of numbers for all the cuts, etc.
After these many years I guess there still is excitement.
BTW: For this job I want to keep down the dust so I’m using a good ole back saw and custom miter box. Just want to, you know, slow down and enjoy the rasp of a handsaw.
