Howdy everyone,
looking to see if anyone may have had this happen to them or have fixed this type of issue.
framed, squared, sheathed, and stood my 36’ exterior wall.
everything went perfectly as the other side but when I stood the wall one end is 7/16 off the subfloor a space of about 2 ft.
the floor is level, wall is plumb and level, and was squared before sheathing was installed. Freaking out a bit here trying to think of how to fix this before the framing inspection.
can I shim under my sole plate? If anyone has run into this how did you fix it?
this is our own home and weather has been beating us into the ground with all the rain now snow on the way and need to get the house capped.
thank you in advance.

Sounds to me like either the top plate or bottom plate (likely bottom) was either too twisted/arched to use and should have been discarded or just wasn't crowned properly. Replace the affecting board(s). Other option is the studs were cut too short in that section. Replace the affecting board(s).
Dame,
This is another thread for the same situation. I wish I could combine them but with the “upgrade” to this site I can’t anymore.
If you want I can delete this thread, maybe copy/paste the only reply here to your other thread. You should add the above further details to the other threads first post.
Thanks and best of luck.
