Found nothing in the archives on this… Seems by now some of you our there might have purchased or at least investigated the slide-out “drawer” products for pickups and vans. I’m thinking of one to install in a full-size pickup bed with a shell. Here’s a few sites I found…
Maybe it’s time FHB, JLC or Tools of the Trade does a review on this type of product, but for now, I’d appreciate any input y’all may have to offer.
Thanks, Steve

Steve,
I recently purchased a JOEYBED (tm) 3/4 extension bed for my P/U. It is great! Has a 1750# rating fully extended (more than my P/U) is supposed to carry in fact, so I do not worry about overloading the drawer). $830. I assembled and installed. Pluses are numerous including easy access to all of the bed. There are some negatives such as it is hard to operate on a steeper slope and if something falls in front of it while it is extended it can be a pain to get to it. Other wise I love it, sure beats climbing around on my hands and knees and smacking my head on my canopy. If you want I can see if they have a www. or e-mail you their -800#.

*Thanks for the reply, Flatch... The Joey Bed product looks like a top-quality item. I found their web site, which I'll share with you and others here:With appreciation, Steve
*For many yearsa I have had a Joey bed in the back of my full size van. The bed is actually made for a minivan but it works great. The floor space accessed through the side doors is open. The Joey goes from the back of the side door to the back doors. If I need to haul long stock I clear out the front. I would not be without one in a van.Tom the Tree Guy
