I have a wood framed sliding patio door that has the opening on the ‘wrong’ side. I’m hoping to build an eating area which would ideally sit where the opening of the door is currently. Is it possible to switch which side which opens? ie: door currently opens left to right, I want it to open right to left. Is this possible?
Thanks!

hmmm,
haven't got a clue. I'll have to go home and have a look. Just by looking at it it doesn't appear that it would be impossible. Which brands would it work with?
cheers.

I know what you're thinking. Disassemble. Pull out the stationary and move it over. Flip the operational upside down. Swap rollers. Etc etc. But the operational panel doesn't just slide out. Doesn't Marvy screw them in from the jamb . . .

Active is no longer inset...
Pull the door...
turn it 180
reset the flanges..
or cut the flanges and install as a retro...
reverse the hardware / lockset...
