How do I get a small burn mark off a vinyl floor – it’s Armstrong successor. Looks like someone dropped a cigarette. It’s not burned into the surface just a light brown mark (on a light grayish-beige floor) about 2x the size of the end of a pencil eraser. Flooring guy said Magic Eraser, but it turned out to be not that magic… Ideas?
I have a walkthrough with the customer tomorrow.
TIA

do a cut in patch if you dont think the burn will come out.
Pretty easy fix if you have a pattern.

sandpaper? then clearcoat (automotive touchup paint or clear fingernail polish) if it won't sand out... might be able to hide it with a like color of automotive touch up paint or fingernail polish...
not a huge fan of cutting & seaming might be worse than when you started
good luck

Thanks guys...
Pony's method will be #1 this AM - that was along with what I was thinking... It's such a small spot, but is noticable...
If that doesn't work, the vinyl floor guys can do Doug's cut and patch thing - they would probably take a piece from under the stove... They say they have to use a piece from the same roll. And their patch will be invisibal to any who don't know it is there. I gotta wonder about that longevity of it though. It does have a pattern so that helps a lot - it is like 4" tile squares. I've been through this before but always before it was much worse damage.
