I have small, leftover pieces of BCI’s (I Joists). 14 IN high. Flange is about 2 1/4 IN. They are about 2 feet long.
Has anyone come up with a clever use for pieces?

In fact, you could make all sorts of furniture with them.

Never actually ever seen/done anything with I-joists, but have seen a few pieces here and there made with other cast-offs.
I would imagine that you could make an interesting coffee table with 3-4 pieces on end, held together with a frame (maybe even some nice-looking metal joist spacers) and with a glass top.
Do yourself a favor and burn them or toss them. Otherwise you'll be looking at the pile of rotted I joists years from now and wondering why you saved them. I just filled a 10 yard dumpster with stuff like that out of the warehouse that we had saved for a non-specific future project that never materialized.
