I have a roof sheathing question. I had some friends help me lay down some 5/8″ roof sheathing. That I will be putting on some tile later. My question is. At the ridge They let gaps between the last sheet. And the ridge. I think the widest one might be an inch. The gap comes from where they laid down the last full sheet, and from there There was about 15 inches to the ridge. And they didn’t quite get the sheets straight. So on that last piece the 15 inch piece Should I pull it off, or the gaps acceptable. Thanks Hat

How do you plan to ventilate the roof?
For a ridge vent, you will want the ply cut down from the ridge two inches anyway.
Even if not venting that way, still no sweat.

I'm venting through frieze at the bottom of roof. And gable vents. I will leave them as they are. Thanks for the information. Hat

No. you don't want to do that unless you're building something nice and drafty like a pre-70's house.
Use soffits and trhough roof or, better yet, ridge vents. The ideal is laminar air flow up along the entire sheathing surface and then out. Soffit and gable vents can leave a dead area towards the middle.

Her in California we use frieze blocks. Or at least that is the preferred method. Hat
It's the gable vents you want to reconsider, sorry, I quess I wasn't very clear.
Of course, local climate can make a difference, but I've never seen anuthing discussing regional differences in attic venting.________________________________________________
