Hey guys I have a trivia question that I am trying to answer. I assume that softplans newest version is vista compatiable, they say “windows compatible” but what is the oldest version of softplan that is vista compatible? Or maybe I should try autocad. Thanks for the help.

Maybe you need a key# to loggin. I have not been there much since vista and I am still XP, but I can go check for you in a while.

I'm using SP12 on my vista rig but Softplan "recommends" SP14 for vista users.
I've not done extensive drawing recently but the only issue I've had (so far) is the rendering engine.... I needed to turn off hardware acceleration to get my renders up and running.
My guess is that one difference between XP and Vista for functionality in SP12 is support of hardware drivers.
SP12 seems to work the same for me as it did in XP but there may be problems yet to be discovered.
after browsing there a while it looks like there are some GUI and printer problems with V12 and Vista, but OK with V14

OK, that does seem to point to driver optimization or the lack thereof when running SP12 under Vista, thanks.
