I am currently investigating purchasing softplan version 10. Does anybody have any feedback on it’s usage and flexability? Is there a better program?
What about the material lists – are they accurate? All comments welcome

Look into buying Vectorworks, from Diehlgraphsoft. I evaluated the Softplan demo, and was impressed, but wasn't willing to spend the big bucks. I purchased Vectorworks for about $500 (internet mail order) and have been extremely happy with the program, especially the ability to customize it and create new tools & symbols. As far as I can tell, VWorks does everything Softplan does, and more, and better! And if it doesn't, you can create a tool to do it! Tech support has been great, and the company provides frequent free upgrades via the internet (they even mailed me a CD for a free upgrade.) I've also heard a rumor that Diehlgraphsoft is coming out with a new CAD program tailored specifically to residential architecture, code-named "Armadillo." If it's price is roughly the same as Vectorworks, I don't see how any other program could compete!
*Chris - do you have any contact info for this company ?

There are a million links to other sites and reviews from Vector Works homepage.
