I’m contracting for another icf house. This one makes me a little more nervous because not only the basement, but the entire first floor will be icf construction, and it’s located in an area I’m not used to building in–more clay over there than the usual sand in my local turf.
The owner has allowed some money for the purpose of having a soil engineer test it but I thought $250 seemed pretty low. I was wondering what you are used to paying, and what you get for your money.
BTW, this is in Wisconsin. 48″ frost depth for footings, which will be 20-24″ wide and at least 9 1/4″ deep.
Thanks,
MD
