I’ve got a question for some of you copper experts. I’ve designed a two piece drip edge for a reworked gutter system for a Mansard roofed house (mine) and decided to use copper. What are the materials and techniques to solder the overlaps.
I’ve got a 10’6″ brake but was wondering torch or iron? which flux? use scotch brite pad prior to flux? Any other tips or pitfalls I should be aware of?
Thanks for your reply. I’ve got to run now so I’ll sign off for now.

I use a Sievert torch with replaceable copper tips, and ruby fluid ( zinc chloride) flux. No need to scuff unless the copper is weatherd or fouled in some way.
Some can use free hand coppers heated on a cooker or even charcoal brazier. Some can use solder and propane torch with out a copper ( I can't).
