Well, I can probably tell you a decent amount about them. I kind of think of John as a friend. I watched him go from concept to tools, shop, etc. Hes certainly been around the country lately talking to shows and such.
My perceptions - he's found his niche. They're a neat product, and pretty much like his advertising says, from the outside they look old school, and from the inside they offer some of the more modern amenities that you wouldn't expect. The guy is awful finicky about what he lets exit the door, which is good. From material selection to joinery, glues, coatings. He designed all of the metal hardware which the windows use.
They passed muster on a number of historical register sites thus far.
Real trucks dont have sparkplugs
Nice looking stuff, and a great concept. Wish I'd had them on my old cape.
