While taking the trash out last night I notice an especially green area of my lawn ~ 4′ infront of (between meter and house) the water meter. Stepping on green swatch it was real squishy.
Well I know what I’ll be doing on Sunday (my only day off this week). Damn I hate water leaks.
When I bought my house (4yrs ago) the previous own said he replaced the old pipe with PVC. I hope it’s something like a leak at the transition between the old copper and the PVC. Might be “easy” to fix.

the fix won't be nearly as bad as tearing up the lawn to find it
ya you got that right. I kinda plan on putting a tarp down and pile all the dirt on that, then after I'm convinced it's fixed. I'll back fill. It should be a hand dug affair. Sunday is suppose to 90 though.

I'd dig where the grass is brown... no reason to mess up the pretty part of your lawn...
at least thats what guys that work for me would do
p
call the water supplier and tell em it's on thier side.
You'll have a backhoe onsite before ya hang up the phone.
Works for me.

problem is it's not on their side It's on my side. I did have them come out and make sure that thier shut off valve was functional and I could shut if off when the time comes to do so.Only two things money can't buy, True Love and Home Grown Tomatoes...Misty River Band
You missed my point..tell them it is THIER leak..when they dig it up, say "oops my bad"
Not that I'd advise that or anything..
