I really shouldn’t be doing this on a beautiful sunny, Alaskan morning, and getting my ire up, but IF this works, and my message gets through to all who have inquired about my wood block flooring post, I’ll be at least gratified to let all know that I’m not *ignoring* you!!! F.Y.I., during all the previous attempts to post the message and pictures, when I try to “send”, it requires that I “log on”. Fine. I do so, with my name and long established “password”. No go. ‘Says it’s “incorrect”, or that it’s already “in use” (by whom, pray tell, if not me?!? – ‘worked last year!). Anyway, after many, many attempts, and three days of email requests to “SYSOP”(whoozat?) for assistance and receiving NO response, I finally gave up and let the computer “assign” me a new password. Great. A bunch of jumbled letters and numbers I will NEVER remember. OK. Fine. I used it, and saved(!) it. (By the way, this happened twice – on the main page, and the contruction techniques page) Sent the message and all six pictures. Tried to do the same on the construction techniques page, after remembering that I should have posted on that page to begin with. Amazingly, and with great(er) frustration, the entire process repeated itself, again. Soooooo, now I have TWO passwords, neither of which I will ever remember, but I’ve kept them aside to plug in when sending anything in the future. Now, I know full well, I’m no cyberspace whiz, and I may be doing something wrong that could be easily corrected. In fact, I STAND READY to be corrected. What steams me, is that my emails to the SYSOP (who/what IS that?), have gone unanswered. Grrrrr.
With all this said – I apologize for ranting on this lovely day – I can’t say why the pictures aren’t getting through to some. I scanned them from our UMAX scanner, through PageMaster software, into the C Drive file titled “works”, converted them to JPEG………any suggestions are welcome….that is, if you ever receive this message……
Thanks!
Kris

Kris, All I know about picture files is that any file with the extension of ".jpg" melts my computer - Windows 98, Netscape 4.7 but simply adding the "e" making it a ".jpeg" and my computer knows instantly what to do. Go figure. All in all, with all my whining, it still a pretty good trick for a bunch of trained sand!
