I recently had the concrete on my front porch torn off due to water problems and my porch floor is the ceiling of a room in my basement. When I had the new concrete poured I had steel decking laid down to pour the concrete on. Now that Winter has came to West Virginia the cold air from the outside and the warm air from the inside is creating condensation on the steel decking that is the ceiling of the room in my basement. This room is some what like a fruit cellar.
Is there any ideas on what I can do to stop the condensation from forming?

Insulate the ceiling.
Terry
*Use extruded poly insulation ,FomulaR or Dow blue board, on the ceiling that will help keep the moisture off the metal.Be sure to seal the joints . PL300 is a good foam glue.
*Spray foam insulation directly on the steel. Cover every inch. Doesn't have to be very thick.
