We’re getting ready to strip old paint off of the interior woodwork in our 1930’s era house. We have small children and are concerned about the possibility of lead contamination. We would greatly appreciate any ideas on the following points…
1.) Is there a quick noncomplicated method of checking for lead being present?
2.) Does anyone know of an effective stripper that is not toxic?
3.)Would a heat gun be effective for removing the paint… or does it release lead vapor?
4.)If anyone has any constructive suggestions please post them!
Thanks in advance! Can’t wait to hear what you all have to say.
