Gene, I'm sorry, but I don't understand the Q. Both rafters span the same distance if they both start at the plate line. Are you looking for rafter lengths? I this a trick, because most of the information is included in your drawing, isn't it. I don't get it.

Ah a roof question........ let me hi jack if you will. I know you can get rafters pre-fab for a job, like for a standard building with gables but do they do the same for a hip roof design? Or will it need to be stick built.
