I have a stupid question.
I am retrofitting a walk-in shower stall to a bathroom.
If I want the original tile floor to match the new tile floor.
How much below the floor should I set the plywood deck.
Or put another way, How thick will the shower stall be above the plywood.

You should allow for a pre-slope under the new tile. This can be tweaked to give the right "drop" compared with the existing floor. You could try one of the side drains and slope towards that. Not cheap but look real cool.
