I’m installing a new subfloor in my old home….panels won’t see any weather elements.
Is there any structual differences on the BC, AC Aracuro and SturdiIfloor products other than the *face* of the product. Is there any real benefits to the SturdiIfloor with the T&G edges ?
I’ll be nailing 3/4″ Santos Mahogany flooring ontop.

I don't think the type of subfloor matters as much as I used to. Just keep it dry, flat - sanding required- and you're good to go.
Chefwong, the T&G system came into use in the 70's to replace the two floor system. It locks the edges in under the carpeting so you don't get excessive movement at the seams which would tear up the carpeting.
The two floor system ( all square edged products) used to be composed of 1/2 cdx ply, and a 5/8" particle board underlayment. The hardwood floors used to lay over the 1/2cdx. Back then, they didn't use 1' pieces of hardwood though....
