Can anyone please tell me, how to go about cutting temporary supports to hold up a porch roof? I’m talking about the kind of supports that angle out from the top of the porch and anchor into the ground. Thanks.

2X10 W/ a birds mouth, get em close to the original bearing points. Use stakes at gound level, and toe nails at the top.
got a framing sq? theres yer notch..a torpedo level sets the verticle leg mark..it should be close to plumb.
