tapcons in the “new” pressure treated.

After reading all the posts of deckmates and other “ok for the new pressure treated” screws fail, I suddenly find myself wondering how the Tapcon anchor screws seem to be holding up with the stuff…
ITW says its ok: http://www.itwbuildex.com/ICBO/ACQweb.pdf
But, if I trusted everything the manufacturer said, well I’d be quite foolish.
I want to secure 5/4 PT to an entrance of a dirt cellar as a frame for a door (onto concrete), and will make the door with cedar and stainless.

There are stainless steel tapcons available. A bit harder to find but they are out there. Used a few in industrial settings where corrosion was a concern.

Good grief at 44 cents a pop, and my history of snapping stainless screws with the impact driver (I snap much less now that I am predrilling and waxing the threads) I am thinking I will risk the regular tapcons...

(these also dont seem to have the hi-lo thread design either.
You have to use stainless anyway on the cedar unless you want stains. What's the big deal with 44¢ for a fastener? It sounds like a lot for a screw, but your job costs hundreds of dollars anyway; why not do it right?
Oh, I have to buy project packs of no less than 100 screws so far, and I only need 8. I have all the stainless nails, trimhead screws that I need for the door, hinges and door hardware...
