I need a new mattress and was wondering about mattresses that have a layer of viscoelastic foam, such as the Temperpedic material, in the construction. Has anyone every slept on a mattress with such foam? What was your experience?

It takes about 2 wks. for your body to adjust, but after that no tossing and turning,no sore back, just a good nights sleep. I believe there is still a 90 day trial so theres nothing to loose.
Thank, Moe.
Any others with experience?
My wife and I bought a deluxe tempurpedic bed about 4 weeks ago. I wish I'd started sleeping in one years ago - it's absolutely amazing.
One caveat: some people complain about being too hot. We've not found this to be a problem. Again, the 90 day money back guarantee makes it less risky to try it out.
My wife and I have been sleeping on a Temperpedic king size bed for a number of years. It was the best purchase we could have made for bedding. The mattress will conform to your body; you will not feel your bed partner tossing or turning and you will get the best sleep of your life. Make sure you get the complete system..mattress, box spring or platform and the pillows.
It looks as though everyone else who has responded has a true temperpedic matress. I thought they were just too different feeling when I was mattress testing, so I bought what I thought was a compromise. A year later I think I made a poor choice.
I bought a mattress from Joanne's Bed and Back store. It is a standard innerspring with four inches of viscoelastic foam on top. My old BeautyRest mattress had less sag in it after five years than this mattress has after one year. Part of the problem is that an innerspring mattress has to be turned and flipped and we can only turn ours because of the foam.
We thought the foam layer was hot at first, but I've gotten pretty used to it. My husband is a human furnace, and he thinks everything is too hot.
So I would second the last post--go with the real thing or don't do it. Half-way there is another way of saying not there.
