I am doing a basement and the HO wants T&G on a radius wall (not sure of the radius dimension). Would I be better to put nailers between the studs (16″C) or wrap it with 1/4″ plywood as a base to attach the T&G? I am installing T&G elsewhere and put nailers between the fraiming.
Thanks
John

The bigbox stores sell thin t&G beaded boards in the right length for wainscot, and a guy I know used it, applying it with tube glue. Might work for you in your curve situation.
You might want to build a quick mock-up to see how tight the t&G you have will bend. That will tell you how much subtrate you'll nned, like as not. The stock may want to sit as flat segments around the curve, which kind of suggests blocking and shims, otherwise the plywood may be best.
You sometimes can "cheat" a bit more curve by knocking a bit of the leading edge of the tongue. If you are milling the stock yourself, setting the "top" (towards inside of curve) knife of the groove a bit deeper can help too.
